Polycarbonate gastronorms have some clear advantages over stainless steel or ceramic versions. They are robust and very difficult to break so offer a safer alternative than ceramics and being clear the food displayed is much easier to see, an advantage over both alternatives. Suitable for hot or cold display counters and general food storage applications but not for use as a Bain Marie. Virtually unbreakable polycarbonate remains cool to the touch for efficient handling. Lightweight, stackable and easy to clean.
